Learning to dance in the rain...

There's a favorite saying of mine by Vivian Greene that says "Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass...it's about learning to dance in the rain." It reminds us that, though we face many storms in our lives, we can learn to go on. Sweet Hunter here is a new step in this family's dance of life. I made Hunter's mommy and daddy wait a little longer than normal for their sneak peek but there was a method to my tardiness...tomorrow is National Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day. In 1988 President Ronald Reagan proclaimed October as Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month saying " When a child loses his parent they are called an orphan. When a spouse looses her or his partner, they are called a widow or widower. When a parent looses a child, there isn't a word to describe them." Hunter is a Rainbow Baby, a baby born after the loss of a child. These precious babies are given this title because, like a rainbow, they show the beauty that comes only after the storm has been weathered. And what perfection sweet Hunter is...

So if you think of it, light a candle tomorrow in remembrance of lives lost and the families affected by miscarriage, stillbirth and infant loss.
