A little over 2 weeks ago we packed up our family of 6 plus my parents in a 36ft RV and headed west! We couldn't have asked for a better trip! We got to see all sorts of exciting places and of course that meant all kinds of photos! My plan was to make a few posts while on vacation, but when you're "roughing" it, cell service isn't great and Wi-Fi is spotty at best. I was bummed at first, but then it was so nice to be "tech-free" for a little while and focus on family! I was going to try to sum up the whole vacation in one post when I got home but, we had way too much fun so I'll break it down for you! Our first stop was Wisconsin Dells, Waterpark Capital of the World!
We got there a little too early to check into our campsite so we went on a hunt for a park and found this perfect little Lion's Club park to stretch our legs and get out some of our pent up energy. When you cross your first time zone it takes a while to adjust to the difference!
Peek-a-boo with Poppy!
Even Memom got in on the fun! Our motto was "Making Memories" because we realize it's not about the destination...it's about the journey!
My littlest 3 have the best big brother! When they lack the strength to accomplish their task they can count on him to bear their weight and help them succeed. I hope it stays that way their whole lives. It's not easy when there is a 10 year gap, but E always makes time for his littles!
We're Here! We're Here!
We stayed at Jellystone Park Campground and it was a hoot! They had the perfect little waterpark right on site for the kids. We barely had the RV backed into place when the kids were out the door and headed to the pool! They couldn't get enough of the water!
We swam for a while, cooked out, made a fire...even made S'Mores over the camp fire!
We of course had to explain who Yogi Bear is to the kids and try to watch some clips (when we had service) so they could appreciate the camp site more. I think they had a blast!
We only had one night to stay so we didn't do much other exploring in the Dells...but it is definitely a destination worthy of a return trip!
